As Dr. Knapp's daughter, Jessica was also in Lexington when Secretariat was in his prime. However at that time she was more interested in the flowers and butterflies that surrounded the track than the ruckus on the track itself. While she maintained a fondness for her early days in Lexington, it was not as ingrained in her as it was in her father. It took two undergraduate degrees, several other business pursuits, and a little coaxing from Dr. Knapp before Jessica joined Monticule's staff in 2000.
In title, Jessica is Monticule's Sales Director, but like her father she ends up wearing various hats at the farm. Jessica has supervised advertising, marketing, and promotional pursuits for Monticule as well as taking on the role of farm photographer and historian.
